Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Digital Native Africa ("DNA") platform — including digitalnativeafrica.com and app.digitalnativeafrica.com — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

These Terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered learners, instructors, and organisational accounts. Additional terms may apply to specific features and will be presented at the point of use.

Registration: To access courses and platform features, you must create an account using accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

Age requirement: You must be at least 16 years old to create a DNA account. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent.

Account security: Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. DNA is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised use of your credentials.

Account termination: You may close your account at any time via Account Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Enrolment: Upon purchase or free enrolment, DNA grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and complete the course content for your own educational purposes.

Restrictions: You may not reproduce, redistribute, resell, broadcast, or publicly display any course content without express written permission from DNA. Screen recording of video content is prohibited.

Content accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, DNA does not guarantee that course content is complete, current, or error-free. Course content reflects the views of individual instructors and not necessarily those of DNA.

Instructor content: Courses are created by vetted instructors. DNA reviews content for quality and compliance but is not responsible for instructor opinions or any advice taken in reliance on course content.

Pricing: Course prices are displayed at the point of enrolment and are subject to change. Promotional pricing applies only during the stated promotional period.

Payment: All payments are processed securely by our third-party payment processors. By providing payment details, you authorise the charge for the amount displayed.

Refunds: You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided you have completed less than 20% of the course. Refund requests after this window or threshold are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Taxes: You are responsible for any applicable taxes on your purchases.

DNA certificates are issued upon successful completion of a course, including passing the final assessment at or above the required threshold (70% by default).

Certificates are issued to the account holder only. Sharing your login credentials to allow another person to complete a course on your behalf and obtain a certificate constitutes fraud and will result in account termination and certificate revocation.

DNA reserves the right to revoke certificates if evidence of academic dishonesty or Terms violations is found.

You agree not to use the DNA platform to:

- Upload, transmit, or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, obscene, or infringes third-party rights

- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts

- Interfere with or disrupt the platform's infrastructure

- Collect or harvest other users' data without their consent

- Use the platform for any commercial purpose not expressly authorised by DNA

- Circumvent any content protection or digital rights management technology

Violations may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account.

DNA IP: The DNA platform, brand, logo, design, software, and all original content (excluding instructor-owned content) are owned by Digital Native Africa and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your content: If you post or submit any content (e.g., forum posts, project submissions), you grant DNA a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and promote that content within the platform.

Instructor IP: Instructors retain ownership of their original course content. By publishing on DNA, instructors grant DNA a licence to host, promote, and stream the content to enrolled learners.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DNA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the platform.

DNA's total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you to DNA in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

We may revise these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
